Michael, a member of the New Jersey State Bar, as well as being licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and Florida, joined Weinberg, Kaplan & Smith, P.A. as a partner in January of 2019. He is widely recognized as an outstanding leader in the field of family law throughout the State of New Jersey. He currently serves as Chair of the New Jersey State Bar Association Family Law Executive Committee, and is the Co-Chair of the Camden County Bar Association Family Law Section. He has been honored by being named among the “Best Lawyers in America”. Similarly, he has been awarded the designation “Top Attorney” in the area of Divorce and Family Law by SJ Magazine.

Certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Matrimonial Law Attorney, Michael focuses his practice on complex and sensitive matrimonial and family law matters, representing high net worth individuals, business executives, entrepreneurs, and their spouses. In addition, Michael has represented numerous individuals in negotiating prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, as well as individuals involved in contested child custody and support matters.

Throughout many years of practice, Michael has been an active member of the state and local New Jersey matrimonial bar and also serves as a Matrimonial Early Settlement Panelist for Burlington, Camden, and Gloucester counties.

Michael is a frequent lecturer on matrimonial topics before, and on behalf of, various groups, including the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education, the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, the American Trial Lawyers Association, and the National Business Institute.

Michael’s written articles have been published in the New Jersey Family Lawyer, where he serves as an Associate Managing Editor. He has also appeared on the television programs “Legal Lines” and “Legally Speaking” to discuss recent developments in New Jersey matrimonial law.

Michael received his B.A. from Bentley College and his J.D. magna cum laude from Capital University Law School, where he was a published author in the Law Review.

Prior to joining the firm, Michael served as Co-Chair of the Matrimonial Department of Archer & Greiner. P.C. where he was a shareholder. Michael resides in Cherry Hill, New Jersey with his wife and their three children.
