Noel S. Tonneman is a founding partner of the matrimonial boutique firm of Tonneman & Connors, LLC.  She has practiced exclusively in the area of family law since 1988, when she first joined the Family Law Department of Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer, P.A., leaving in 2009 to start the matrimonial firm that became Tonneman, Vuotto, Enis & White, LLC.  Her practice is primarily in Monmouth County.  She graduated from Bryn Mawr College, cum laude, in 1976.  Before entering Rutgers Law School (Newark) in 1981 , she taught elementary school from 1976-1981.

Ms. Tonneman is a Certified Matrimonial Law Attorney.  She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and current President-Elect of the New Jersey Chapter of the AAML.  She has been certified as a Family Law Arbitrator by the AAML and is Secretary of the New Jersey Divorce Arbitrators Association.  Ms. Tonneman is qualified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey to mediate family law matters.  She is a member of the Matrimonial Lawyers Alliance, has been selected by her peers for inclusion in Best Lawyers of America ®*, has been recognized as one of the Top 50 Female Super Lawyers in New Jersey in 2005, and has been regularly selected as a Super Lawyer in the area of Family Law since then.  Ms. Tonneman has served as a panelist in the Early Settlement Program in Monmouth County as well as a Blue Ribbon Panelist, Intensive Settlement Panelist and Arbitrator of family law disputes.  She is a former member of the Supreme Court Family Law Practice Committee.  She has participated in seminars on family law issues and has appeared on local cable television shows discussing issues of domestic violence and adoption Ms. Tonneman has served as trustee of the Monmouth Bar Association and chair of the Monmouth Bar Association Family Law Committee, is treasurer of the Monmouth Bar Foundation, and a former member of the District IX Ethics Committee and of the District IX Fee Arbitration Committee.  Bar association memberships include the New Jersey State Bar Association, Family Law Section and the American Bar Association, Family Law Section.

Ms. Tonneman has nine reported decisions from the trial, appellate and Supreme Court levels.
