Edward S. Snyder has been a matrimonial practitioner for over 40 years. In 1999, Ed was recognized by his peers as the recipient of the Saul Tischler Award from the Family Law Section of the New Jersey Bar Association for lifetime achievement in family law. He has also been awarded the Silver Shingle from Boston University School of Law for outstanding service to the legal profession.

Ed is a results-oriented legal professional who has represented thousands of men and women and assisted them in achieving excellent results in a professional and dignified manner. He has been lead counsel in numerous trials and has argued before the Supreme Court of New Jersey on three occasions including the nationally recognized case of Konzelman v. Konzelman, which focused on the termination of alimony, in which he represented the winning side.

Ed is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, and a past president of its New Jersey Chapter. He served as a member of the Council of the Section of Family Law of the American Bar Association from 1984 to 1990 and he is a former chairman of the Family Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association. He is a charter fellow of the International Academy of Family Lawyers. He was elected a Diplomate of the American College of Family Trial Lawyers whose membership is limited to only 100 trial lawyers throughout the country.

Ed has lectured throughout the country on matrimonial and custody matters for many organizations, including the New Jersey Judicial College, the New Jersey State Bar Association, the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education, the Delaware State Bar Association, the New York Trial Lawyers Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and the American Bar Association. His articles on family law have appeared in many legal publications. Ed is often contacted by the news media to comment on issues of national interest.

Ed has been selected for Martindale-Hubbell Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers since 1999, the Register is generated from evaluations of lawyers by other members of the bar and the judiciary in the United States and Canada. He was selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America^© every year consecutively since 1993 (Copyright 2013 by Woodward/White, Inc., of Aiken, SC). Ed was selected to the Top 100 2017 New Jersey Super Lawyers list and has been selected as a New Jersey Super Lawyer, a list published by Thomson Reuters, every year consecutively since its inception in 2005.
